Okey. Like I said, I may have rplace the damaged parts, or I may have to replace the entire blade all together... If that is the case, You may pick a new blade style.
**Horus left off from the examination of the dagger to gaze round the forge.**
A single table and chair, and a counter. All the funishings I have here... Would you be so kind as to try to make some kind of waiting area please?

**Song nodded slowly and started to bang around, setting the rectangular table in a corner, the counter next to the wall like a bench. The chair sat at the table. Squinching her nose at the dust and seeing the dirty windows gave the maid an Idea. Dashing out, she went to some stores. returning in about 15 minutes. she smiled, and set down a bundle.** There. **pulling out a set of drapes, she hung them by standing on the chair. Next she grabbed a cloth and wshed the window. Then she pulled a large wooden sign and some paint out of her bag.** There. Now, I got something to make a sign, but what should I say? No worries, My writing is neat Horus.

I thought my artistry of a crossed hammer and anvil was rather good... Well, the motto is "Good quality weapons at a steal in price", but I didn't really have much of a plan of signs when Darter gave me the key for this place... I could use a price list, but I have planty of parchment for that... How about a "Most esteamed customers" list? From important beasts, to those with special or unique orders, the name and order of the customer gets recorded on the list which will be placed in the window... Uhoh...
**Running his paw over the dagger, Horus found some significant cracks in the middle of the blade.**
It's a good job you brought this to me today, Tthis wouldn't last another battle. There are cracks that run almost all the way across the width of the blade. I'll have to replace the blade itself. I can keep the hilt, but the blade will have to go. Like I said earlier, you can have a free choice of blade an guard types an materials if I needed to replace the blade of this dagger. In fact, I'll do this job Pro bono(For free/No charge) to repay you for all the help you've given me..

HHmm.... I suppose. Could you perhaps melt some of the origanal blade into the new one? It-Its from my brothers.** Song's big eyes were hopeful as she stared at the wolf.**

Of course. I can add it to the pommel, or the base of the blade itself. It's your call... From the original straight blade, I can add a curve to it if you wish. The guard is cipped as well, but it's definatly salvageable, but I can add some ornermental patterns to it upon fixing it if you wish for it to be so.

OOC: Like my siggy?

OOC: Re: Artwork for my mention.
BIC: Straight it is. I will keep as much of the blade intact as possible. I just need to get the bladed part re-forged so it will stand up to more combat. I can add some cobalt to the blade for extra strength. Not enought to take the colour from any silver I can add to make the blade shinier and seem more symbolic of your shining soul's conection to your brother's souls.
**Leaving the dagger by the forge, Horus began rooting around in his metals area for more cobalt, and some silver.**
Instead of mixing the silver into the blade, I can melt it down, and cover the blade with a thin coat of silver to make the blade more shinier... But like I said, it's your call. Your dagger, on commission. It's all your choices.

Okey.
**Looking around some more, Horus found a solid lump of silver coated in dust at the back of the pile of scrap pieces of metal.**
I guess who ever last used this never expected it to be used to silver coat a dagger. In fact there's more than enougth here to do that very task.
**Undoing the binding on the hilt, Horus placed the dagger's blade into the forge on a lower heat that earlier, along with a bar of steel to heat. After a score of minutes, the bar and blade were begining to glow red.**
This is the dangerous part; the sparks. I sugest you look away while the sparks fly as they can burn a lot.
**Grasping both items in the tongs standing against the anvil, he gripped his hammer tightly, and began to beat the bar of steel around the glowing dagger blade. When it had cooled down, he placed the odd mess back in the forge to heat up again. It turned red quicker than before, but a few minutes more were a caution, as Horus wanted the blade to be workable for longer. Returning it to the anvil, he resumed the beating. After a few repeats of the rutine of heating and hammering, the steel bar head tickend and strenghtend the dagger. But Horus wasn't finished with it yet. He placed the lump of silver in the embers, along with the alomst finished dagger. Adding a pine log from the wood pile stacked at the corner of the work area, and placed that in the fuel chamber at the base of the forge.**
It'll soon be done, I just need to silver coat the blade, fix the guard, and re-bind the hilt. Then it's yours to take away again.
**Glanceing back at the forge, the warmth died in his chest.**
Damn! That log must've boosted the tempereture expenentually!
**Rushing back over, he brought the dagger out fine, but the silver was starting to melt.**
I hope there's enought left to coat the blade... Unless...
**Taking a small steel container from his boxes and crates, he placed the melting silver back in the forge for a few minutes, until it was almost liquid.**
I hope this works...
**Using a scoop, he quickly brought the silver out, and poured it's now liquid form into the container. Grabbing the dagger in the tongs and a slightly burnt paw, he dipped it into the melted silver upto where the guard sat. Drawing it out, and letting the sliver cool onto the blade slightly, he dipped it in the quenching tank by the anvil.**
That went well... I guess... Now to fix that guard.
**Heating some small off-cuts of steel, he bent them round and tapped them flat with the guard of the dagger as not to disturb the surface of the metal.**
That's that done. I just need to re-bind the hilt now.
**Taking the original bindings, he coated the back with a fresh coat of sap glue. Carefully, he wound the material round the hilt diagonally from the base upwards, then back twice, till all the material was ound back on the hilt, and nothing of the blade was seen on the hilt.**
I'd better clean the blade up now, so it's more presentalbe.
**Taking a wire brush and file, he began to gentally clean the blade, and re-form the cutting edges on either side of the blade. With everything finished, he girpped it in a soft cloth by the blade and presented it back to Song by it's hilt.**
Your finished, repaired dagger lass. Good as new, and fixed barring one thing...
**Pulling a ribbon out of a box on the counter, he swiftly tied it round the hilt next to the pommel.**
I couldn't bring myself round to adding my smith's mark to such a blade.

**Song nodded and looked at her blade, aye, the gems were still there, in the form of a musical note; her brothers mark. She sighed slightly, the blade was no longer theirs. The pretty healer's gentle paws carefully slid into their time honored position 'round the hilt. She slid it gently out of the blacksmith's paws and smiled.** Thanks Horus. I'll bring 'er by when it needs sharpening.
**The maid attached her string to the little hole in the hilts base, using and intracite knot. She slid it in her belt. quietly, the squirrel vowed.** Get ready to sing!

As you wish... Just let me know if you ever need a job done, or are looking for any odd jobs to do. Say... You didn't see a plain smith's hammer by a broken window anywhere did you.
**Horus had forgotten about the hammer that had sailed outside via a window some hours prior untill just that moment.

On the stuff I forge, with my smith's mark, it helps me see what I have forged, and it adds a more personal touch. Except my good hammer, that's different.
**At the last sentence, he lifted the hammer that he was given by his 'special someone'.**
This one has served me both inside and out the forge. The normal one kind of escaped me while making Brawn's partisan... hence the broken window by the anvil... I was meaning to get that one borded up for safety reasons... At least I have an excuse to do so now eh?
OOC: Will in a minute... Just because I'm on a snow day doesn't mean I've not stuff to do...
**Cringes from any incomming blows.**
