Got a question? We got the answers... Well, that's what we think, anyway. Seriously, though, if you just have a general RP or character related question, post here! One of us advice-giving types will try to help you out. And don't be embarassed: RPing is an ongoing process, a learning experience. Even if you're an old vet, or have been here for a while, you may still have questions. Don't stress; even I, the "great Marie Blue-eyes" (as named by Thorntail Swiftax ), have my amount of questions...trust me. ;D So yeah. Ask away.

Well, i'm in a bit of a fix. See, i 'heaved someone bodily in the air', (he let me though, so that's not god-moding) but would throwing him to the ground be considered god-moding?

It would depend on the situation, but here, I'd say it'd be okay. I mean, there's not a lot the person can do if you're holding on to him like that, is there? It's not like he really has a choice not to be thrown (unless he's really strong or something and he manages to break out of your grip. Or he can defy gravity. ). If it's okay with the other person, then I don't see any reason why you couldn't. EDIT: Oops, perhaps I should have let Marie answer this...oh well...

Hey, anyone know if we're allowed to use italics for actions, and normal text for speech?
I know some sites reinforce the 'astericks for action' thing, so I was just wondering...

Okay, that's good to know. So, any form of role playing is alright... That's good, because I alternate from time to time.

I only use astericks, the first time I heard of rping was DAB, and they use **'s...I also use 2, because Tangle said it's better. *_*

Um, Marie, I'm having a bit of a problem here. I want to change Sapphire's character. Completely. Including her outfit and all. How about the personality -- do you think a slightly gothic side would fit a Redwall character? Basically, she's more serious, and wears a modified version of the Firebender's outfit. Also, I decreased her skill with weapons to make her better at stuff like martial arts (Modified firebending moves, that is ;D) and other paw-to-paw combat. Would that fit into the Redwall verse?

I might have an answer for that... Some hares were boxing hares; Wonwill, Sapwood, and a few others fought with their fists, so I reckon it might be okey.

Hmm... That depends upon how you portray it all. First off, be very careful not to bring the Asian side on too strong. The worst thing I see in Sues is when they have Asian weapons/names/etc... I think you can pull it off, but just be careful. The martial arts-type fighting style sounds fine to me, as, like Raiden said, it's basically fighting with your paws, but again--it's all in how you portray it. If you go around saying "Hiya!" and using martial-arts terms to describe your moves, it won't work that great. However, if you generalize it more and word it so that she's simply using her body as a weapon, then I don't see a problem with it. About having a "Goth" side... that's sort of the same as the Asian thing. If you just make her serious, then sure. Go ahead. If she's going to carry black crosses around and wear all-black (for other than practical purposes), then you might want to reconsider. So it depends upon your RPing a lot. It's my personal philosophy that the most Sue/Stu-ish character in the world can be interesting and unique if he or she is RPed well. So I don't see a whole lot of issues with the changes, just be careful about it.
