History(up to present.) : One night in winter, a young rat was born. Her mother thought she woudlnt' last to see the spring, as she was so weak, and the winter winds swirled through all kinds of cracks in the house, but it was untrue. Her mother, Mayla Hyacri Pyr never lived to see the leaves turn green. Her father, Jonathan stayed in grief for a while, but he realized that someone had to take care of the child. This child's name was Kryshana Alana Pyr.
He got a job at a distillery, to make just enough money to feed and cloth the little one. During the day he left her in the care of an old rat until he got home. Once he did he tried to be as good of a father as he could, despite the fact that they didn't have much.
Well, Kryshana grew. And grew, and grew, until she was about 10, when they realized that they would need more food to have enough to quench her growing appetite. So she got a job at the same distillery her father worked at, trying not to spill the rum and other drinks that her father and the owner of the shop made.
But,the owner of the distillry was very old, and he died when Kryshana was 12.The shop went to her father, and soon more and more work came in, until they both had to stay there for longer and longer hours. To make it easier, they lived in the attic above the shop.
Let's fast forward to about 3 years later. Kryshana and her father were happy and content, living a pretty peaceful life, selling rum and ale to taverns and ships in the town or at the port. One night though, a bunch of vagabonds came in to town.
They ran about, burning everything in sight, including the distillery, where the father was working at that late hour and the young child was asleep. Jonathan sniffed. Something was burning. Peeking in to the front room, his eyes widened, and he immeadietly ran upstairs to wake his sleeping child.
THere was a fire!
Kryshana had woken a few minutes before her father came. She was up and running down the stairs. Jonathan grabbed her paw and pulled her down the stairs." Go out the back door," He said " meet me at the oak tree." Then he ran upstairs, to get the last keepsake they had of his wife, a small portrait. But he didn't know that Kryshana had it.
The young rattess ran out to the tree, which was just in the fringe of the forest. She waited there for hours. Her father never showed up, and she never saw him again.
The next day, she went in to the down, but there was barely anything left other than the tavern by the harbor and a few shops. Her home was nothing but ashes, and all their money had been lost in the fire. She was now penniless and had to go find more work. But non of the shops could hire, for they had no money to pay her with. So Kryshana went where her father told her never to go, to the docks in the harbor, where she could get a job on a ship.
There was only one ship there, and she immeadietly got hired as a lookout, for they were sure their present lookout, a wildcat called Scott Parnley, would be able to teach her all she needed to know.
She learned. The ship she was on, The cute pike Had barely limped in to port after a horrible sea battle against goodbeasts. The crew was dismissed and they all went their separate ways. And that is how she ended up here.
