**Crystal doesn't move, head tipped down at the floor, but she stands her ground.** Take it back. Take it ALL back. And if you think you could force me to move, your the one that's dull, not me. **Crystal looks at Shi, though not in the eye, since Shi is slightly taller. **Crystal jerkes her head in Elena's direction, paws balled into fists, emerald eyes blazeing like 2 pits of green fire.** Words never hurt anyone, huh? Then your wrong, my friend.
**Mortamus looks at Crystal, and has a cold chill. The others my not know it, But Crystal really will hit Shi, punishment or not. Mortamus's eyes burn slightly as he relises what may happen. Mortamus rushes at his sister, spearing her with his shoulder.
**The foxmaid falls to the grass with a dull thump. Curseing under her breath, she jumps up and stares at Mortamus.** Why'd you do that, idiot?!?
**Mortamus Jumps down beside her, forgeting Shi compeletely.** It's not worth it. A few moments revenge... For what? We've finally found a place that would take us in... Now your fighting withone of our own kind...
**Mortamus glares at Shi.** Though you had no right to called her stupid. She could rip you apart if only she was allowed. Now... No beast here asked for advice and lies. Carry on before you see what pain really is.
**Crystal looks at her brother, showing him the same firnece she showed Shi. The foxmiad growls something to him before strikeing along the wall by herself, picking up her few weapons she had dropped. She doesn't say another word, just walks away, angery hat her brother took the side of Shi.
**Mortamus's eyes burn harder now and he thinks about following Crystal but he stays still. What have I done now?**
OOC: A bit to long?

No Crystal, your wrong. Words can be ignored, or you could not pay attention. Then it wouldnt' matter, because you have the choice not to listen.* Elena watches Crystal wak away and says.* Though, I'm probably not right about that.

**Shigurè watches the scene of Crystal falling to the ground, shortly followed by Mortamus. When Crystal's brother addressed him, he merely smiled back, though seemed... strange, in some form. He watches the foxmaid, after a few angry words with her sibling, stalk off alone, heading somewhere in solitary company. His gaze flickers over to Mortamus, and he pieces together the situation with natural ease.**
**With a flutter of his cloak, he quickly descended the wall to land neatly beside Mortamus, and seats himself on the grass, motioning for the younger fox to sit next to him. Without waiting to see whether or not Mort did as Shi bid, the creature began to speak, his voice slightly hushed.** I'm guessing what I just witnessed was something of a quarrel? **He paused meaningfully, before continuing.**
I suggest you let her be. Some creatures need time to steam off when their temper as been prodded at, and she, quiet honestly, needs to learn to control her anger in a more suitable way. I understand she has probably encountered, like you, hardship in her life, and much pain and sorrow fills her heart, but the one thing you must never ever do is let that pain and sorrow control you. Nor feel that nobeast can relate to you. A small mercy though, is knowing that there is always somebeast worse off than you. **He laughed bitterly, then glanced up at Elena, before staring off in the distance.**
Miss Elena is wrong, though. Words can hurt, but blows hurt even more. Your sister must understand that there is more meaning in life then to hunt down a vermin and destroy him or her. For what joy will a death recieve? War is not something to sing about in some courageous ballad. The slaying of creatures is hardly something I call inspiring. And not all problems are solved with a stab of a sword. Using her head is, after viewing how your sister acts, a rare thing, aye?
**He flicked his ear, then turned to Mortamus, fixing the fox in a steady gaze.** But I don't regret a thing I said about Crystal. I have every right to call her stupid, if she prefers to fight rather than work out mine and her differences. I don't lie... at least, not to anybeast who's not Chiharu, and my advice was voluntary. Meaning nobody asked for it, and nobody has to take it. The choice of listening is up to the creature, and it turns out Crystal took the advice without listening.

Aye, but every beast has evil in them as well. **Mortamus sits on the grass, talking so quietly at he wasn't sure is Shi could hear.** Every beast that has ever taken a strike, and every beast I've ever known has, wants to get their revenge in one way or another. Say, as a dibbun, you were scolded for stealing candies. You were also slapped lightly on the wrist. This would make you angery. You would want revenge.
And in Crystal case... She can't make any friends. This is why she acts like she does. You see, the best way to get to her is hurting her friends. If she has only enimies, then no one will get hurt but her. She may be stubborn, but she is noble. And can't you see the logic in that? Nearly every friend she ever had was killed. **Mortamus conties, suddenly wanting to talk.**
She can only solve conflicts with violence anymore, since the only thing she has to worry about is betrayal and a blade in her back. And she thinks others are the same way, not knowing if they have fears themselves, since no one will really open up to her and tell her. You see, Shi, that she really doesn't want to be this way, but her pain in paw and in head, has forced her.
I'me sure she mean anything she said... But I meant every word. Though this is one of the worst fights we've ever had... I want to take every word back... **Mortamus doesn't talk for a moment.**
RAH! **About a quater mile from the place were Mortamus stands, Crystal hacks at her tree with her sword, eyes buring in rage as she sinks the blade deep into the rowan and twists the blade before slicing at a diffrent angle. No one here understands what I feel, what I've seen... What I've heard... Now my own brother has turned agaisnt me.But, the more the merrier. What's one more blade in the back?**

**Shigurè listened, then chuckled.** Mortamus, you confuse the matter. Revenge is beside the point. What we're talking about is Crystal's behaviour, not what drives her behaviour. Though I must say, revenge is a poor excuse for inappropriate behaviour, no? And so is blaming her attitude on the fact that, supposedly, nearly all of Crystals friends are dead. **He stared at Mortamus.** Crystal, herself, said the 'Twiggles', to call the duo their... erm... name, are her friends. Theres two friends.
And what about you? Three. And an estimated several other Guardians count your sister as a friend, at least, I imagine, so how can you, or her for that matter, even suggest that she is friendless? That fact that she thinks that isolating herself is stupid, fool-hardy and more than often drives a beast insane. It's more torture to isolate somebeast in the dark then physically abuse them.
And the fact that she only has to worry about betrayel? A sword in her back? As I've said, unless you learn to trust, then you can never really be free. It's hard for others, very hard, but at least they make an effort. If Crystal doesn't want to be the way she is, then she can change. I did. I, myself, was born into, a, well, "house" of noble, viscious foxes. As such, I was expected to follow their customs. But then I began to decide for myself. I didn't let my rage boil, like I used to, and hurt beasts. I escaped, found peace and made up for my past. Why can't Crystal do the same? I circumstances are not all that different.

**Mortamus shakes his head in fustation.** You see her here, yes? That means she left the "Twiggles" as they are so called. (Odd name.) But it's partly my fualt she's like this. You see, before, I was just as peaceful as you. And I'd never seen Crystal angery.
But, After the attacks we had witnessed, Crystal started to change. The slightest bad wish set her off. It's part way my fualt that we witnessed the first attack. So, where it all ends up, I'm the one responisble for why she's like what she is.
**Mortamus's manges to keep his voice level.** So if you have somthing against how she acts, say it to me, because It's my fualt in the first place!

**Darter yawned and stretched lazily as he heard Laylark's words. Deciding stubbornly to actually get up and move, he slowly gets to his feet, using the trunk of the tree to support himself. Once upright, he shook his head vigourously in an attempt to wake himself up fully, to no avail. Alright, sleephead, time to wake up. Taking off towards the north wall at a slow jog, he called back to Laylark behind him half-heartedly, more mumbling than yelling.**
Be back inna few minutes, matey...

**A hooded figure stands on the parapet, surveilling the beasts below with a casual eye. His features remain expressionless as he finally tires of watching their antics and turns to face the sunset, the fading light casting purple shadows over everything. The mouse squinted slightly to get a better look of the surroundings, Mossflower. Towards the north he could make out the faint outlines of the mountains, where he was born. Painful memories tried to invade his mind as he struggled to push them back. He had a new life, now. And eventually he would return to the Northlands.**

**Laylark turns his head to the awfuly lazy Darter, making his way towards the wall. He smiles to himself and turns back to the fading light as he waits. It's then that he realizes a cloaked figure- a mouse to be presice. He waves shyly to him, an akward little smile playing on his lips.**

*The sunset illuminates the dark silhouette of a very short, cloaked figure, identifiable as a hare because of the long, floppy ears peeping out from beneath the hood. She sits down on the wall with a little sigh, the dying sun a painful reminder of old battles fought, comrades lost, the sun setting on the shore behind the ancient mountain, Salamandastron. She sighs deeply as a cool breeze gently blows about her, dark eyes turned upwards toward the amber-streaked sky.

* Elena picks up a piece of rubble that fell off the parapet and tosses it up in the air. A moment later, she catches it. She throws it up again with more force- too much really. She watches it move in an arc towards Laylark.* Laylark! Look out!

ooc: Hmmm, I think it would be fun to use one of my alts for this...
bic: Two creatures strode down the parapet, side by side. Both were otters, one male, one female. The male was unusually large for one of his species, nearly as large as a full grown badger, thick-limbed and sinewy, though he walked with a light, almost graceful stride. The sleeves of his crimson tunic were rolled up, revealing a tattoo of a green seadragon that ran winding down the length of his forearm. His eyes were warm and friendly, a dark liquid green. His name was Riley Maelstrom, and he was the Skipper of Redwall, though anyone in their right mind knew to simply call him Quake. The female otter seemed dwarfed compared to him, though she was of normal size. Her fur was lighter and redder then his, her body lithe and sleek, her footpaws moving quickly to keep up with Quake's long strides. She was also only 22 seasons old, about half his age; her name was Willow LeKroone, and she was his niece, though they were closer then any father and daughter. The ottermaid's eyes shone blue in the dying light, lit with laughter as she chatted amiably with the otter chieftain, but the grief stored deep in the back of her mind was evident if you stared into her eyes long enough. Perhaps that was the reason for the slight sad expression in Quake's face as he chatted with her.*

**The red fox spins around at Elena's cry, feeling the wind rush in his ears. His eyes widen at the sight of the stone flying towards him, and he ducks frantically. The rock soars above him and lands with a barely distinguishable thud on the other side of the wall. Laylark recovers and looks down at Elena, suprisingly enough, a joking grin on his face.**
Missed me.
