He is totally transformed when in battle though because his armor is customized. He wears a mail hauberk painted dark red, a silver chain mail, a gold steel mail fauld, gold greaves, dark red gauntlets and a black jade grim helmet.
Weapons: A long sword with a blackened blade and a ruby red pommel with a gold hilt; a long, slender throwing javelin lined with bronze; a steel bronze buckler with the insignia of his past clan: a spear passing through the palace of Ublaz Mad-Eyes.
History:Rowan Sorriven was born on an island south of Mossflower Wood knows as Thril-Gaclya. The island was tropical and warm which suited otters of all types fine. Many merchants flocked to the luxurious island to barter for the islands main tropical item, the coconut. Rowan was born to Sengwen Shipwright (father), and Micla Shipwright (mother). They thrived in a clan of sea otters in the center of the island. The clan had built a Fort which they later named Undómiel Fort. The clan displayed a motley array of weapons which included pilfered sickles, bows and arrows, spears and war hammers. Corsairs chose to berth in a cove on the Eastern edge of Thril-Gaclya. The clan of sea otters were forced to defend their territory more than once, each time ascertaining more weapons and wealth. Rowan was a well respected member of the clan, spending the quantity of his time reading or writing. One day after he had finished a book titled The Origin of Thril-Gaclya, the lord of the clan returned from an elongated battle with the corsairs. He spoke to Rowan about honor and pride and about the fact that he himself should fight and stop reading and writing. Rowan agreed but inside he was fuming at the ignorance of the chief. When the chief had left the room, Rowan took a piece of yellowed parchment paper out of his oak desk and wrote a quick note explaining his actions. At the end, he wrote I'll always love you mom and dad.
Later that night Rowan stole silently out of the Fort. Carrying a pilfered sack full of food and a motley array of silk clothing, Rowan stole through the forest. To his relief, the corsairs were busy fighting his fellow clan members. So, with the knowledge he had ascertained from his studies, Rowan navigated the large, square masted corsair ship through the night, heavy rains pelting the young sea otter. He managed to survive through the ordeal, docking the battered corsair ship by a long wooden jetty. When he grabbed his provisions and climbed over the railing, Rowan finally took a look at the land form he had beached at. It was a large, rocky island with thick cliffs ranging over the rough terrain. At the end of the rocky cliffs stood a tall, elegant castle with a motley array of monitor lizards and trident rats working on it, pulleys and levers working to haul large amounts of stone up to the waiting workers. This is how Rowan found his way to Sampetra island, and the beginning of his rebellious life.
After spending a few seasons under the influence of the crazy pine marten Ublaz Mad-eyes, Rowan grew sick of the omnipressent government the psychotic dictator ruled. Finally, after the warriors from Redwall came and liberated Sampetra and killed Ublaz, Rowan formed an alliance with a few others that believed in his renegade ways. That alliance grew and grew, members flocking to join this new democracy. Rowan soon was elected the leader of the Renegades and he took his power seriously. The Rebellions killed the stranded corsairs with ease because the scattered groups had been disgruntled. Just as the rebellions were going to liberate the Palace of Ublaz, a new Queen came to Sampetra. Her name was Saiwen Sutrin and her presence suggested resistance to their plans. The queen had also brought along an army of troops ranging from highly praised monitor lizards to your basic lowly corsair. The battle for Sampetra was about to unfurl. After seasons of bloody battles and death among the renegades, Rowan grew weary of his life.
Early one morning, with a twinge of purple among the dusky pink skies, Rowan retreated from the clan's camp, heading for the ship he had originally come to Sampetra on. To his relief, Rowan discovered the motley ship still at the jetty, disgruntled but still in working condition. Lichen and ivy grew in clumps on the oak boards, the square sails torn and ragged. Ignoring the poor condition of the ship, Rowan set sail under the dusky, starry night. After seasons at sea, the turbulent foam crested beakers crashing into the damaged ship, he spotted land. It took only a day to reach the clump of land on the horizon but the time spent was well worth the newly discovered land. By the end of the next day, Rowan had made it to Mossflower Wood, the realm of Redwall Abbey. Rowan abandoned the merchant ship on the edge of the tropical land before setting off. He wandered aimlessly for about half a season, no set destination in his weary mind.
Rowan reached the fort of Guardians of Mossflower the following day, his mind warped at the large, stone structure. After he entered the building, his troubles were swept away after he joined the ranks of respected warriors, blacksmiths, medics and boundary guardians. Rowan is now an accomplished corporal in the army and happily married to his beautiful wife, the otter Jamie Sareem.
