**Rosemary nodded at the otter, mentally noting her somewhat confused behavior. The shrewlass glanced over at her quiet friend, Risk, and hoped the vixen was getting all of this. Returning her attention to Finn, she decided the rogue was most likely wondering what she was doing up the podium in Laylark's stead.** I see ye are a wee bit baffled, there, lassie. I'm Rosemary Hazelnutt; an', by the permission o' our Great General Darter, I have set up a few areas fer our warriors to train, eat, and converse. Anyhoo.. Now ye know. **At Rosie's glance, the vixen nodded silently. She had been scribbling the names, professions, and ranks orderly on a sheet of parchment. Having seated herself at a secluded bench, Shadow Risk dipped her quill into her ink capsule and jotted down Finnerator's information.**

*Finnerator had believed that she had held a relatively cool expression despite her surprise at seeing another beast besides Laylark taking rolecall. Maybe the shrew was just exceptionally good at reading people. Either way, it didn't particularly matter*
*The sea otter nodded, now understanding the situation* Ah, I see. Well, that's fine with me. Pleased to meet you Rosemary. *Finnerator held out her paw to shake in a friendly gesture* Well, now that I'm on the rosters, *She nodded to the vixen writing down the names* I'll be going. *And with a grin, Finnerator turned and headed off to find something useful to do*

*A rather short, sturdily-built middle-aged badger stepped into the corridor with slow, deliberate strides, garbed in a dark forest-green tunic, bark-grey trousers tucked into black boots, a wide black belt, and a bark-grey cloak with a lowered hood. Across his back Voldarain had a spear and a buckler, and at his belt a sheathed hunting knife and a short sword with a blade in the shape of a leaf, safely in its scabbard. With a paw dyed blue-black, rimmed with painted white, the badger scratched the black, but with streaks of dark grey, stripe on the right side of his face. Raising it, he saluted to Rosemary.*
I am Voldarain Blackpaw, Warrior, but Boundary Guardian recruit, or so I believe.

**Laylark speeds through a stone corridor, bare foootpaws making little sound against the stone floor. Here he was, with his own division, and he couldn't even get to the roll call on time. Then again, it wasn't like he was simply late. He'd been away. Running these thoughts through his head and thereby convincing himself that his absence was indeed to be expected, he burst through the door of the hall and skidded to a halt, mismatched eyes flickering from one beast to another. In an attempt to look somewhat dignified he stands tall and clears his throat hoping to attract the attention of the division members gathered in the hall.**
Ahem. Yes. I am... Er Laylark... Your commander.... And I'm here.
**With that 'announcement', the young fox decides that all hope of making a good first impression and that he might as well have just arrived covered in mud. Nonetheless, he strides towards the podium, still desperately clinging to his dignity. With a nod and an amiable smile to Rosie, he takes his place, giving yet another nervous little cough.**
Aherm. I, ah.... Am Laylark.... Like I just said. So... thank you Rosie.... And, um, I... hope that, er, I.... can... get to know you all... I mean, those of you that I don't know.... and.... Yes.
**Let's just say that Laylark's not the best public speaker.
Scratching his ear nervously, the fox looks down at his footpaws, not liking being in front of a crowd. He can't help but be mad at himself. He knew he could have done better... But there were so many of them. Laylark looks up and scans the hall for a familiar face. He finds himself smiling nervously at Risk, who he's sure know how he feels.**

A fox with a noble spirit and a sinewy build to back it up trods in carrying a heavy double-headed battle-axe. His golden blonde fur glistening in the light. He approached the beast who appeared to be in charge. "Matt the Gold, reporting for division 2. Profession, Warrior, rank wanderer."

OOC: Er... Matt, I don't think you've joined, and therefore still don't know your division. Correct me if I'm wrong.
BIC: *The tall hare strode over to his older badger friend just as their fox commander rushed in, and Sandegar blinked in surprise. He looked up at Voldarain, who was looking on with impassive silence, though thoughts were storming wildly in his mind. He'd known his commander was a fox, but seeing him in reality shook him, for Laylark flipped all his notions of vermin and goodbeasts upside down. He'd been brought up in a closed environment, and had not let many outside influences touch him. Thus he could not prevent himself from feeling irritably confused as Laylark stumbled over his words. On the other paw, Sandegar was really quite surprised at the nervosity of his commander, and glancing up at Voldarain again, he raised a salute sharply. Leaving Voldarain to his thoughts, the lanky hare grinned at Laylark.*
Commander, I'm glad you're back. Sandegar A.M.M., sir, and my friend Voldarain Blackpaw IX.

**Laylark can't help but to truly smile at the kind words of both hare and mouse. Normally that was all it took to boost his confidence... Well, boost his confidence a bit. He greets the new arrivals with the same toothy smile and stars fiddling subconsciously with the hem of his tunic.**
OOC: Sorry for the short post. XD Um, just so you all know, good ol' Larky wouldn't be so nervous, it's just 'cause a) the crowd b) it seems official-ish. To him at least. I mean there's a podium. >:0

**Rosie returned the warm smile and sighed with relief. Raising a quick salute, the shrew nodded her gratefulness for her commander's return and stepped down from the podium. Standing to the side of the modest fox, she addressed the crowd with one last comment.** How 'bout a grand round o' applause for the return o' the Great Commander Laylark, eh? **The warrior promptly followed her suggestion by pounding her paws together in a strong burst of clapping.**
**Shadow Risk smiled when her modest commander slipped into the room to give his timid introduction. Meeting his eyes she nodded her respect and started spontaneously clapping with Rosemary, a calm smile still on her lips. Welcome back, Laylark... Your warrior's have missed you.**
