No surrender! No retreat Siiiiiiiilveeeeeeeeerswooooooooord Ho!
**Raiden's footpaws thundered on the ground as he dashed towards the few remaining vermin. Drawing the other longsword in his belft, he met the foes like a dervish. Feeling his blades bite deep with every swing, he watched as the last foe, a weasel dropped like a ton of bricks.**
You want to retreat Rina? Then go. Take with you. Find the others, and get to safety. I'll cover you're retreat, then meet you in the woods. Go now.
OOC: Read my siggie.

I am no coward, and I will stay, but only for a short time. Your bravery is admirable, but your rashness is downright stupid. You cannot hold off two dozen more vermin by yourself and expect to make it out alive!
*Rinafera parried a blow from the remaining rat and twisted the blade around his wrist with precision. Spinning, the hare swung the blade in a sweeping motion and stuck the blade into the rat's chest. The vermin were finished, but a new wave of more than two dozen vermin heavily armed was coming close, and he knew better than to stay and be killed. Raiden was very brave, but sometimes the mouse's courage was too much and he always reached for the impossible. His heart went out to him, but his mind called his companion a fool. This may be the last time he spoke to Raiden, yet it was used with harsh words and in an exceedingly terrible moment.
Rinafera's mind flooded with thoughts, and he knew his next move must be smart, safe, but swift. The three s's that had escaped him many times before. As the next wave got about one hundred feet away and still charging, the hare made a strange but at the time the only decision. He moved toward Raiden, stepping over the corpses that encircled him.*
Raiden, I have a plan. But it can only work if you will drop this unreasonable plan of staying and falling to your certain death! Will you please come with me deeper into the woods where I can explain the rest of the plan? Be dilligent, be a Guardian. Once were there we will gather some others and flank this wave from the south! You will get your action, but you will have a fair chance in the fight. If they follow us, the will be scattered in the woods. If they don't they wll stay and we can make a circle and flank them once we have gathered some others!
*His mind flipped back on, noticing the vermin were very close. He did not have much time and his death was very soon. The hare rubbed his head and thought, remembering Mary. Twirling the scimitar, the Guardian got ready for a scrap. He sidestepped a bit away from the mouse and friend. Shrugging, he looked back to Raiden with urgency in his eyes and voice. The moment was almost at hand. The rash mouse had to make his decision.*
Are you with me? Please come! We will die if you don't!

If I fall, so be it. I would rather fall in the line of duty, than die away from combat. I fought over two score foes in single combat in a few hours. I met Zahi that day, and began to live for her. 'sides, haven't you heard? I'm un-killable at the moment. But like I said, I'll cover your retreat. I have no intention of falling to this unruley mob. From the ledge, head north to the denser wood. I'll follow in a moment. I want to make sure these scum know what the word terror means.
**Dropping his helmet, Raiden faced the on-comming vermin with a steely resolve.**
Know this scum, you face the most battle-hardend warriors of Mossflower. I am the one with an un-shakeable resolve. I am your worst nightmares personified. I FEAR NO EVIL FOR I AM FEAR ENCARNATE!
**Three swift strokes at the front runners caused a few to falter in their steps at the sight of the mouse. Raiden's dusty white armour had become spattered red in places from the combat mere minutes prior to new wave. As the last of the front runners to be struck fell, Raiden's balefull stare fixed the remainder of the vermin who were being pushed forwards by the press of bodies behind them. With out a word, Raiden sheathed the old longsword, and grasped his helmet. As the vermin began to regain their moral, Raiden turned and began to walk north. One of the vermin loosed an arrow off at Raiden, it struck him in the right arm. WIthout stopping, Raiden gave one last statement before he entered the trees and legged it to where he said he'd meet Rina.**
Now you've done it. The wrath of the Guardians of Mossflower will be so great, you will wish that you had never been born. This I vow.

*Rinafera stood dumbfounded, his head looking in half admiration and half 'you're a moron' at Raiden. The mouse's bravery was too much this time, and the hare could not let him die. Raiden had chosen his fate, but if the mouse was to get hurt so be it. So would Rinafera. The hare lifted the scimitar and stood beside Raiden as the wave approached. He stood concerned, but fought eagerly. As the vermin came over the small ledge he unleashed upon them. Throwing cuts left and right, he knocked over some of the first line. But the two dozen were overpowering, and there were simply to many. Raiden yelled some crazy things to spook them, but it only affected them for a moment. Rinafera swung the sword without any consideration for the vermin.
The hare knew his fight was insane but thought of it as noble. Raiden then began to falter, and the mouse fell back. Why Rinafera was relieved to know the mouse was retreating was beyond him, but he was happy none the least. He swung one more swipe and connected with a fox. Then he fell back as well. The troops were upon him, and he could not fight them all. Running, he watched as Raiden was shot in the arm in the distance. The hare snarled at the beast who did it and kept moving. He caught up with Raiden and smiled briefly.*
We should help your wounds. Are you alright, Rai?
*Rinafera continued and entered the woods. He walked with a bit quicker pace, and led the mouse through the trees. The hare knew that if the vermin followed him through the woods, they would be scattered and effectively thinning their their numbers. He sniffed in the warm feeling of the trees midst the snow and freezing wind. It was refreshing, and it had been a while since he had ventured out the boundaries of Mossflower. If he was to be a Boundary Guardian, he would need to learn to do multiple things. Right now, he acted as a fugitive with a wounded mouse.
Turning, he motioned for Raiden to pick up the pace. He moved quicker, but silently. Jogging farther, he heard many strange noises. Rinafera did not know what was going on, but he thought he was approaching the area where Darter and the Officers. Sighing a sigh of relief, he saw a brown figure off in the distance.*
It seems we have found them, Raiden. But one problem... Wheres Mary?

Will be. It's a through-and-through. I can break the tip, and pull the rest out from the back.
**Setting himself against a tree, Raiden snapped the head off the arrow. Reaching behind himself, he yanked the rest of the shaft out. Grimicing as it came free with a small welter of blood, Raiden sighed as he tried to stand back up.**
I don't know Rina... I'd love to know that answer too.
**Slipping back down the tree, he sighed dejectedly.**
I can't stand up without help Rina. That dagger in the back of my leg has seen to that. It's a miricale that it's lasted as long as it has.

*Rinafera helped Raiden. He placed his sweaty white furred paw around his back and helped the mouse to walk. Stumbling forward, the hare could not wait to get to Darter. The otter was just standing with some people. Rinafera's Commander was peculiar, but very admirable and an amazing leader. He glanced at Raiden for a moment, and heard an odd noise. It sounded like a trumpet blast, but was soft and very quiet. The noise was strange for the middle of the woods on the edge of Mossflower, so Rinafera stopped for a bit. He looked around, and let go of Raiden a tad. He heard the pawsteps of the vermin, and it was growing louder. He turned, seeing almost the entire pack heading their way. It was a long way, and they were still scattered due to the trees. But Commander Darter was even further off, and he had a limping wounded beast and an injured hare.*
The vermin. Raiden, what are we going to do?

What ever we can. They out number us ten-to-one. Not even I would risk myself against those odds. Best chance we've got is hoping they don't kill wounded prisoners.
**Shrugging off Rina's paw, he turned round on his un-injured left leg.**
'sides I can wait for vengance. But I won't make a full trip on this injured right leg of mine.
**Gripping the buckle of his belt, Raiden undid it compleately and let it drop with his weapons.**
If you are quick Rina, tell the commanders to hide. You are faster than this lot. Regroup, and look to the camp for me. I'm going to let myself be caught to let you and the others escape. Don't argue Rina, just go. I out-rank you, so don't make me pull rank.
**Raising his paws to his head, Raiden pulled his helmet off, and placed his paws his paws behind his ears. The vermin were getting closer, as if senseing prey.**
Rina, go! If you find Mary, tell her I kept my word, and that I'm sorry I can't talk to her much...

OOC: Right. Let's say there's about two-score. 40. Hmm, we'll have to say the vermin were majorly disorientated and because of the trees they weren't able to attack at full strength. That should do it.
RP post coming ASAP.
